The love story between Tory Daily and the photographer Arthur Elgort has been long in the making. As we’ve previously mentioned, his knack for capturing the joyful and humorous side of the fashion world never ceases to amaze us. There is an unmistakable Elgort energy that pulses through his work—be it an image of Kate Moss in a bikini and high heels steering a shopping cart through a parking lot, or one of a fully-clothed Stella Tennant diving into a swimming pool.

Last night Tory Burch hosted a party at the Tory Sport New York flagship in honor of Elgort’s new book, Arthur Elgort: I Love. Guests enjoyed Champagne and hors d’oeuvres as well as the unveiling of a limited exhibition, an arresting mural of 50 images from the book. With its focus on women, the paperback volume is a celebration of both an American legend and a first-rate roster of female co-conspirators. Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, and Christy Turlington are among the unforgettable icons who have jumped and danced in front of his camera. Elgort doesn’t only work with supermodels, though. His mother makes a cameo, and portraits of Russian ballerinas and jazz singers are the natural outcome of his love of ballet and jazz. And the party, an intimate and lively affair, was the natural outcome of our abiding love of Elgort. Scroll down to see images from the evening.
